Learning at Bryden I have to say was truly an amazing experience, one that has really helped me in becoming the person I am today.I remember starting at Bryden as a boarder from grade one, sad to leave home but eager to be at school too, seeing my friends, participating in clubs and of course the different classes we had.

Bryden is a school with a beautiful culture allowing the children to explore the diversity the world offers within its small community and builds love and passion in its children to the variance we can find in the world today.

I hold many wonderful memories from the school but I must say our annual camps from grade two to seven have always been some of my top favourite experiences. From journeying to Great Zimbabwe , Matopos and even Rifa I am truly grateful we were offered opportunities to find out more about our beautiful country through this.

Within school I took piano lessons, once even winning a trophy on our Musical day. This is something

I treasure to this day. I definitely loved the school library trying to read as many books as I could. I also enjoyed the tennis matches and swimming galas we had being in the swimming team. Waking up for squad swimming and getting hot chocolate after was definitely a treat!

Every year we also held a school play and taking dance classes for those was always a blast.

Bryden, through the many different activities it offered, definitely awoke my passion for the arts as

it gave me the chance to discover my love for Art.

I went on to highschool excelling in O level and A level and specialising in history literature and

geography for my A levels at Goldridge college. There I won many academic awards including second

best student of my stream and top student in each of the subjects I did in 2019. I also participated in

writing competitions winning an Honours at the Girls college writing competition in 2020 and a first

grade plus at allied arts creative writing in 2019.

Now having finished I am currently working having decided to take a gap year from school and

discover more outside, working at a printing company Sable Press.

Looking back to the girl I used to be and how much I have developed all because of the

encouragement and care I received from my teachers at Bryden, I am really thankful that I was given

the opportunity to develop into the person I am today, all from my junior years ar school.
